Las Vegas is the ultimate playground for adults.

The Grove in Los Angeles on Thursdays between 11AM and 1PM is the ultimate playground for kids under five.  It is Baby Vegas.  No, they don’t call it Baby Vegas, but I’m telling you, this place is out of control.

In Las Vegas, all tourists stop to watch the stunning fountains of the Bellagio, which were featured in the film “Ocean’s Eleven.”  In Baby Vegas, every half hour, you’ll see a much smaller, but still impressive water show accompanied by patriotic music.  The railings close to the fountains were jam-packed with moms holding their babies up to see the waterworks.

In Las Vegas, you’ll see fancy cars driving up and down the strip.  In Baby Vegas, it’s the top-of-the-line strollers which moms are showing off to the world.  The strollers are so impressive that I wrote another article just about them, called “Stroller Power.” Today, I saw something I’ve never seen before.  Picture a beautiful stroller holding a baby.  Behind that was a landing where a five year old was standing.  Behind the landing was a proud mom, pushing this stroller/wagon/automobile around with the confidence of an Octomom.

In Las Vegas there are countless magnificent shows to see including Cirque De Soliel, Celine Dion, and Garth Brooks.  In Baby Vegas, there is only one show each week.  This week’s show starred the lady who is the voice of “Jimmy Neutron” (who multiple people tell me I look like).  She sang hits such as “Skimmer e dink e dink e dink, skimmer e dink e doo…I love you” and “A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-and-Z. Now I know my ABCs….”  George Wallace headlines next Thursday in both Las Vegas and Baby Vegas.

In Las Vegas the restaurants are exquisite, and the options are endless.  In Baby Vegas, I saw many bottles of milk, and one kid was eating grass.

In Las Vegas the nightlife is unbeatable.  You can stay out dancing and drinking all night until you fall over.  In Baby Vegas kids were falling over all over the place.  They must have been wasted.

Today, in Baby Vegas, Babs had a blast.  I didn’t even mind when she gave out her phone number to a random 8-month-old named Gavin (see picture).

Lucy and I are going to Las Vegas in July, but this morning it was all about Baby Vegas.  On our way to the parking garage, the Grove was playing Sinatra music, just like Vegas.
