This is the first time my daughter is celebrating New Years (outside of a uterus), and she seems to be taking the resolution concept rather seriously.  Here are the changes I have noticed in her since January 1st.

Getting More Rest :  Babs has been sleeping 11 hours straight each night, starting January 1st.  Let’s hope she keeps it up!

Dancing :  Regardless of whether she is in a high chair, the bathtub, or on the ground, whenever Babs hears a song, she starts shaking it up.

Eating Healthy Foods :  Never one for eating solids, Babs has become much better at eating vegetables.  Canned corn was a breakthrough for her.  Also, it always helps having “Party in the USA” playing in the background.

Growing Teeth :  We already knew of the two on the top, and two on the bottom…but since the New Year, teeth #5 and #6 on the way.

Making More Friends :  Babs is a little social butterfly.  She has many friends, but one doll in particular (Christmas gift from her grandma) has received a lot of affection from the baby.

Expanding Vocabulary :  Well, she can’t say the words yet, but she knows exactly what ducks, clocks, and Minnie Mouse are.

Exercising :  The baby has never crawled more than the last few days.  She’s all over the place.  Her favorite triceps workout is knocking all of our picture frames off the table.

Saving Money :  Babs (with the help of her parents) opened her first Savings Account.  Good girl…although she isn’t making much interest.
