Dad Pulls A Prank On Daughter As Her Boyfriend Proposes To Her

Do you remember when you were proposed to or when you popped the question? For those who dream of that moment they hope it is an experience that they will never forget. For Allison Barron she will definitely remember that time she was proposed to by her boyfriend, Levi Bliss as her dad pulls a prank on her and her boyfriend. 

The backstory….   

Levi and Allison met about two years ago in college. For Allison, she says that both Levi and her took to each other pretty quickly. She told an online news outlet that, “Once Levi and I started dating, it didn’t take long at all to know that he was the one for me. Everything was so easy with him. I’d always heard that you’d just know, but never knew if I completely believed it. With Levi, I really just knew.”

Many of her family and friends saw this and knew that those two lovebirds would be married someday.

The proposal and the dad….

Last month Levi told Allison that they would be meeting up with her parents for breakfast. As they got into their truck and that was where Levi proposed to her with one of the best Brisbane engagement rings.

“I immediately started crying, overwhelmed with joy, we got out of the truck, and he got down on one knee,” Allison says. “You always imagine this moment, and now it was happening to me.”

Her new fiancé stopped the truck to a place where he asked both their families to be so that they could enjoy the moment with them. Both families were hiding up above a ridge. When Levi was finished with his romantic proposal that had a breath-taking view.

Everything looked like it was from a movie until, Allison’s father, Jake, pulled a dad joke on the newly engaged couple. He held up a sign that he made which read, in big letters: “SAY NO.”

It’s all good…

Levi did ask Jake for permission to marry his daughter so he thought everything was cool. Levi had no idea that Jake would do that.

Some might have thought Jake was serious, but thankfully Levi, Allison and the families knew he was joking.

“It was a funny surprise for both of us. My dad was completely joking with the sign, and he really likes Levi!” Allison says. “It’s really just his personality. He is always making funny little comments and ‘dad’ jokes here and there!”

When Allison posted those pictures on social media it went viral. There were over 225,000 likes and 66,000 retweets. Some people even turned the images into memes.

In regards to her pictures going viral, Allison said, “I can’t believe that this has blown up as much as it has! When I saw some of the first memes, I called my dad and he didn’t believe me. I think it’s funny, I keep seeing the pictures and my dad pop up everywhere!”

Will they live happily ever after even after? Allison says,“Once Levi came along, my family welcomed him right in. We all have a great relationship and do a lot together. We are very excited about this next step in our lives.”
