This week we are looking to celebrate Thanksgiving with family and friends. What are you thankful for? Was it past summer blockbuster movies that came out this year or some cool comic con exclusives? For me there are a ton of things that I am thankful for in regards to my geek fandom. From Batman to Star Wars To Harry Potter I created a list on my latest geek finds.
Shhhhh! It is Batman
Batman has had many interesting story arcs, but one of my all time favorites is Hush. In this story of murder, mystery and romance, Batman sets out on a simple mission to discover the identity of the mysterious villain wreaking havoc in his life known as Hush. But Batman ends up facing possibly the most intense case of his life as secrets from his past flood into the present, and the most notorious villains to ever haunt Gotham City’s street attack simultaneously! So when I heard the news that Funko was going to work with Jim Lin to create a Batman Hush pop I couldn’t wait to see what it looked like. GameStop and ThinkGeek are the only places that you can get it since it is a Funko exclusive there. Jim Lee also created a Joker Hush themed pop as well.
Its Hipp To Be Griff
My kids and I are big fans of the wonderful world of Harry Potter. Now that the prequels are now a thing like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald we are still getting our fill of Harry Potter films. In the Harry Potter films we get to see all kinds of amazing creatures too. One of those magical beings is called a Hippogriff. It is a creature that has the front legs, wings, and head of a giant eagle and the body, hind legs and tail of a horse. It is very similar to another mythical creature, the Griffin, with the horse rear replacing the lion rear.
One of the most valuable lessons that Harry Potter learns is when he meets a Hippogriff called Buckbeak. He learns that you need to be gentle and kind to earn it’s respect. Some other wizards don’t get that message before it is too late.

Join The Rebellion
We are the spark that ignites the rebellion is a phrase that can be heard in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now if you want to join the Rebellion you are going to need to train to show them that you got what it takes. One way to get your mind right is to look the part. I recently picked up this Star Wars X-Wing Squadron Zip-Up Hoodie from ThinkGeek and man to I feel like I can take on the Empire myself.
