LEGO seems to always have new and cool shows that go along with their brand new building sets each year. Last year LEGO introduced the NEXO Knights series on Cartoon Network. My kids and I are fans of the show. We are gearing up for Season 2, which starts up on August 13th. We recently got the Clay’s Rumble Blade set to prepare for the new season.
For those new to the NEXO Knights it is a series that LEGO bridges both digital and physical play with building sets, the TV series, and digital gaming app each fuel one another through story-rich game play. It showcases a medieval kingdom set in a futuristic world that follows 5 knights who “download” special powers to their shields in order to battle the royal court’s evil Jestro and a cast of monsters to restore peace. Fans can scan and collect powers found in building sets, online, and directly from the TV series with the free Merlock 2.0 App (available on iOS and Android).

In this set you and your family can deploy the trusty Claybots on their Sword Break Bikes to seek out the evil Ash Attacker and mischievous Scurrier. Your family can launch Clay Moorington into action on his detachable Sword Speeder and shoot missiles at the enemies! This set includes 3 scannable shields for NEXO Powers: Backlash Lightning, Phoenix Blaze and Slime Blast. My family and I were building this set while we were watching a few episodes of NEXO Knights this weekend and we had so much fun!
