The holidays are here and my family and I are counting down the days until Christmas. This is a time where we look for fun things to do as a family. One way we did that recently was by going to see Disney on Ice. My wife and I told our kids that we were taking them to the latest Disney on Ice production called Follow Your Heart. They were so excited to hear the news that they even went to bed early the night before so they would be ready for the performance.

For those who don’t know the Follow Your Heart production showcases Dory and new pal Hank from Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory as they set out to find her parents and discover the devotion of family. My kids loved seeing Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust and Anger from Inside Out. We loved the way Anger was dancing during the show. For some reason we were cracking up when Anger was cutting a run or in this case cutting some ice. The crew from Inside Out was looking to cheer up Riley to get her ready for her big hockey game. The singing and dancing were brilliant. You could tell that you are at a Disney production with all the fanfare and fantastic props that were out on the ice rink. There fireworks and lights going off throughout the show that made the show pop even more. The show did start off with most recognizable mouse in Mickey Mouse. He brought his friends Minnie, Donald, and Goofy out as well as they set the stage for us. They told was what to expect while they were dancing to some pop hits with other performances.

Then my kids eyes got bigger when all of the Disney Princesses came out individually to sing, skate and perform all-time favorite moments from the Disney movies. There was Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana, Merida, Belle, and Mulan. They were showcasing their virtues of bravery, kindness and perseverance. All of those performances were really good, but two of those Princesses were awesome. Ariel and Rapunzel did not only skate and sing, but they both had some unique acrobatics that my family and I were so in awe of during each performance. The skill and strength that those performers needed were second to none. Those two performances from those two actresses were worth the price of admission. They did a phenomenal job and my family and I hope they keep that style in the next Disney on Ice show.

We even got treated to see Buzz Lightyear, Woody and the Toy Story gang come out and perform some songs and dances with a ton of the toys that were seen in the Toy Story movies.

Then we ended the show in the wonderful world of Arendelle. Here we get to see the movie Frozen come to life when Olaf and Kristoff look to bring back the royal sisters Anna and Elsa. Just like the movie the sisters look to learn that love is the most powerful magic of all. Disney on Ice closed the show with a bang! There was a huge snowflake that came down from the rafters as the final songs was being song from Frozen. Disney on Ice: Follow Your Heart is a great way to spend time with the family. Everyone will have a blast and you will be singing songs from the show as you leave the arena! For more information go to DisneyonIce.com.
