peep ShowPeep Show is one of the funniest series I’ve ever watched. I had never heard of it before it landed on my “Recommended For You” section of Netflix, carrying with it a hefty 4.5 stars. I gave it a go and I was soon in tears. Peep Show is basically the Odd Couple, only set in England. And instead of having a neurotic living with a slob, you have a socially awkward conservative failing at love in spectacular fashions living with his best friend, the perennially unemployed musician who has crack addict as a close associate and a deviant mind. The level to which these two screw up their own situations when it comes to love, employment or just friendly relationships is staggering. They always have each other to fall back on, which is both a blessing and a curse. The name “Peep Show” comes from the filming device where you are always “seeing”out of a character’s eyes. So it’s nothing visually bawdy that you would need to worry about. That’s provided by the content. You also get to hear the inner monologue of both Mark and Jez, allowing you a look into the misguided reasoning behind their awful awful decisions. The first few episodes are only good. After that the show really takes off and will have you pausing so you don’t miss the next line, as you laugh out loud.
