Today is Opening Day in Major League Baseball.

I love baseball, always have.  I was obsessed with baseball statistics and box scores by the age of five or six.  As I’ve grown older, I’ve always thought it would be incredible to share that passion with a son someday.  Well, this is the first opening day since my son was born.  He will be a New York Mets fan (and White Sox too) for life.

Here’s the problem.  The Mets are expected to be terrible this year.  Their best player, Jose Reyes, went to the Marlins, and they’re projected to finish in last place.  I don’t want my son to ever know that the Mets are this bad.

What could I do?  Well…I was thinking about the best moment in New York Mets history, and I decided to make a video with my son, so he someday believes that he was in the crowd that night in 1986.  Enjoy…
