There’s nothing like brooding, dark, anxiety-inducing electronica to kick your weekend off. So let’s check out a master of bleak mood setting, Lorn. A lot of times electronica would be associated with faster beats and up-tempo movement fit for clubs and body spray commercials. Lorn’s music is pretty much the opposite of all that. He’s like the Hector Berlioz of electronica (Dream of a Witches Sabbath…. anyone??.). His music can be like a slow burn horror film setting a tone and stretching it out on the brink of being unsettling. But the music is as fascinating as it as disconcerting, and paired with some of the visuals of his videos it gives his artistry a pretty unique place of his own. Check it out.
