INTRODUCING YOU TO BANDS YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW, BUT TOTALLY SHOULD.
Montauk Hotel
Indie-Pop is such a saturated space for musicians to be in that it’s hard to separate the good from the better. This week, I’m featuring one of the better Indie-Pop bands I’ve discovered in a while. Montauk Hotel, hailing from Ireland has a throwback sound that makes it feel like you should be discovering them watching 120 minutes, or digging through bins at Tang records. Their melodic pop is reminiscent of bands like The Sundays with a hint of 10,000 Maniacs, given a slightly more modern polish. It’s nice to feel a combination sense of nostalgia and discovery, and that’s exactly what Montauk Hotel brings. Check them out.
Notable Songs:
Hands
Sense of Place
In The Land
