The Arcs

I sometimes get nervous when friends really like a band and recommend them to me. I hope that I’m going to like it, but sometimes I totally have to fake my enthusiasm for something they love.

“I think you’re right about all of the praises you gave to them and in no way are you super-off base with your assessment of their talents!!”

This time in doing so, I was very excited to learn about a band I’d never heard of and am completely into now. The Arcs very may well be one of my favorite bands to get to know. Sounding like a cross section of The Raconteurs meets Thunderbitch with a sprinkling of Black Joe Lewis, their bluesy rock is exactly what you’d expect from founder Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, only maybe just slightly weirder in the best of ways.
