Divine Fits

Your music library shouldn’t be complete without Wolf Parade, Spoon or New Bomb Turks. Beautiful, eclectic and diverse tunes come from all three of these bands and when I heard members from each broke off to form Divine Fits, I could only do one thing. Smile at the thoughts of the potential. Still working with their original bands and retaining their own unique sounds, they managed to blend the bellicose hyper punk, indie fuzz and elliptical classic rock sounds into a fantastic mashup of all three. Melts together better than the individual parts when they are at their best. My favorite tunes are when Dan from Wolf Parade takes the mic, but highlights are found and punctuated with each member’s influential contributions. Heart of the band can really be found in the center of the triad which is rare for a super-group, when one sound tends to overshadow the collective.
