Sheer Mag

Sheer Mag is the late 70’s rock throwback band that everyone needs. Fronted by the gravely howl of Tina Halladay, this Pennsylvania based group infuses its low-fi rock with elements of danceable punk. Where some bands following the playbook for dirty 70’s rock follow it a bit too closely, Sheer Mag breaks off when it comes to themes. Rather than songs strictly about rocking, partying and boning, the lyrics touch more deeply on themes like love, loss and impoverished life. They are super rad and from what I’ve read put on an excellent show that I’d love to go see sometime soon. Come to Austin, Sheer Mag.
