So, I decided to start a blog to share my experience and journey with becoming a father. It has been kind of a long trip getting to the point that my wife and I are at so I am going to start from the beginning since that is always a good place to start. First a little about myself. I am 32 and have have been married just over 4 years. I consider myself a pretty normal guy. I enjoy watching football and drinking beer with friends. Along with football I am big into playing fantasy football. My buddies and I took our league to a new level and made it more of an all year kind of experience. That is a topic for another time, but if you are interested in knowing more about our crazy league hit me up I would be happy to share the details with you.

We both knew we wanted kids and actually started trying the month of our wedding. We were impatient and wanted to get started seeing as I was 28 already. She is a few years younger than me but understood that I did not want to be to old when I became a father. We started trying and trying which is not a tough thing to do when your a newly wed couple. We got really good at the trying part, but we just did not have any luck with her getting pregnant. We started researching and found that most things told us that after a year of no luck that it might be time for her to see her gyno to try and figure out if there is a problem. The doctor recommended that we try tracking cycles and all that good stuff. We did all the tracking and followed the instructions of some Iphone app that would tell her when she was ovulating. After a few months of that we still had no luck.

The gyno referred us to see a fertility specialist so that would could get a better idea of what was going on. I will stop this blog at this point and save the specialist stuff for my next one.
