In this year’s Common Cold Olympics, the Riles family is projected to win gold.

This family of four has been in serious training for three months now.  Just in the past twenty-four hours, baby boy has been hacking up a mothball, baby girl has a fever and won’t eat, mom has a devastating head cold, and dad is becoming addicted to nasal spray.  All equally nasty!

Below are the three Common Cold Olympics categories which this sick family is favored to win…

The three flames represent cough, cold, and flu.

MOST TIMES THREE PEOPLE CAN WAKE UP IN THE SAME NIGHT

Well, last night may have been a new record for team Riles!  Both mom and dad were up almost every hour, as their little man (4.5 months old) coughed the night away.  Not only is he up every hour, but it takes almost a half hour to feed him, sooth him, and calm him down.  Happy to take care of their struggling boy at every moment, the Riles team is in it to win it!

MOST CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH A RUNNY NOSE

Baby girl Riles (2 years old) is in the zone unlike anybody before her.  Here nose has been running for at least 85 days straight!  Sometimes clear, sometimes yellow, her snot output for the year recently eclipsed her weight!

MOST WHINING / CRYING IN ONE NIGHT

Baby girl and baby boy Riles are in a head-to head battle for second place in this category.  The clear cut winner was Dad the night after he watched “The Vow” starring Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum.

Good luck Riles family!  Let’s try to stay unhealthy all the way through April.
