I’m writing this at 6:20AM, as my beautiful bride, and less than 1 day old baby boy are sleeping in our hospital room.

Yesterday was an amazing day for us, as my wife gave birth to a healthy chap named Tommy Riles.

Yes, this is our second child, but everything that happened yesterday was a first.

When our daughter was born two years ago, we faced many challenges, as you can read here in my first post ever for this website…

Our daughter is doing great now, which makes us so appreciate even more the day we had yesterday with our son…

For the first time, we could say “we have a HEALTHY baby!”

For the first time, we were able to hold our child right after birth.

For the first time, we took happy newborn photos, while laughing and smiling.

For the first time, my wife and baby were able to nap calmly in the afternoon.

For the first time, we had visitors at the hospital, and we were able to celebrate.

For the first time, I could enjoy a chicken quesadilla from the hospital cafeteria, while knowing that my baby is doing okay.

For the first time, we all crashed hard at night, with the baby in our room, and not a worry in the world.

Life is good when you’re experiencing firsts!
