Art Eddy and Ryan Hamilton talk about Ryan’s trip back to his home to Ferguson, Missouri, where he grew up as a kid…and also his stage acting days at The Vincent Price Theatre in St. Louis.

The guys then chat with author and playwright, Jeffrey L. Hollman. Following a thirty five year career in education (English teacher, high school principal, assistant superintendent), Jeff began writing full time, mostly for the stage. In February 2006, Emerging Artists Theatre in New York staged his full length one-act play, "Real Danger", for a full-equity run of one month. The following year, the same company produced his short play, "For the Good of the Nation". In 2009, "Bird Watching" was runner up out of 38 entries in the Strawberry One-Act Festival, also in New York. In September 2011, "OWA-TODO-PIAM" was produced in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival by the Secret Room Theatre.

Jeff’s novel, "Unsettle the Score", published in 2014 has been called "an ambitious thriller, successful in nearly every respect," by Kirkus Reviews. A sculptor for thirty seven years, Jeff has exhibited works in numerous galleries and shows on Long Island, in Brooklyn, and upstate New York. He and his wife Laurie have two sons, David, an engineer, and Rich, an actor who will play the role of Robert in "49 Years".

"49 Years" is a play about a man named Sam that is abandoned by a wife more dedicated to career than home. Yet Sam remains the steadfast, albeit reluctant, father of Robbie who battles with him over the years about the rules, their careers, and the women in their lives. Circumstances bring them back together where roles reverse, and Robbie becomes the reluctant but willing caretaker.

"49 Years" will be at the Thespis Play Festival at the Hudson Guild Theater at 441 W. 26 St between 9th & 10th.

Performances are:
