As my kids get older I find that we are always on the go. Whether it is taking one of my kids to karate class or another to choir practice my wife and I are always in the car. Sometimes the schedules are not perfectly aligned and we find ourselves waiting in the car while one of my kid’s programs are going on. While we try to have our kids read or do their homework in the car while we are waiting for one session to end there are times when we just like to have fun. That was definitely the case this Friday.

Thankfully there are things like smartphones and tablets that help make waiting a little bit more fun. While we were at my kid’s karate class, my youngest and I were checking out a classic movie. Thanks to Disney they sent me a code where I downloaded “Pinocchio” on my tablet. I remember seeing this film with my family when I was their age. The film showed me that if you use your heart and be honest and a little bit of magic will find you.

Sometimes when we would watch a movie in the car we had to keep the car running because we were watching a movie using the car entertainment system. It would waste gas and not be that helpful to the environment while the car was idling. Now with the Disney Movies Anywhere app we can take our movies with us anywhere we go. This is great for when we are outdoors hiking or taking a road trip. There are a ton of cool movies to choose from the Disney Movies Anywhere app. The only problem is deciding on which snacks to pack with us for the trip.

Not only did Disney send me the movie they sent me a few lunchboxes to pack our snacks to go along with the movie, a charging adapter so my tablet would have enough power while watching the film and other goodies. Thanks to Disney our family movie night had the ability to be mobile and we watched the movie in the car. It had a similar feel to when I was a kid and my parents took me to the drive in movie. There was something special about watching a movie in the car. Now I get to recreate that feeling with my family.

When the movie was over it was nighttime. The stars were out in the sky and my oldest was talking about wishing on a star just like the famous song from the “Pinocchio” film. As my kids were looking up at the night sky my wife and I told them that not only did Disney send us all the cool movie items, but they were able to name a star after our family. They were so excited to hear the news and wanted to know where the star was. When we got back home we looked at the star’s coordinates online. It was a great way to end the day. Disney keeps on making magic happen and now there are no strings on watching movies like there was when I was a kid.
