This is my son. As a mango.

Yep, we’re having a son, and yep, his name will be Tommy.

BabyCenter.com has been keeping me up do date on his development, and currently he is the size of a large mango, weighing in at just over a pound, with a height of 11 inches. Personally, I don’t like mangos, so hopefully he will outgrow this faze very quickly.

I can’t believe my son is actually a little man now. He can hear sounds, and loud noises are becoming familiar to him. So…if I began yodeling every morning, Tommy Boy wouldn’t be fazed by it once he was born. He would know that sound, and not think that I was weird. But everybody else would.

The thought that babies can become familiar with certain types of sounds and music before they are even born is so cool to me. We could literally shape Tommy’s future by playing a certain song over and over again. If we listen to enough Eminem now, Tommy boy will lay down a few tracks before his third birthday.

When getting these pregnancy updates, I read exactly what women are going through while pregnant, and here is one more to add to the list which you probably didn’t even know. Pregnant women’s gums can bleed all the time. As if their back pains, uncomfortable sleeping, diet restrictions, and a child growing inside of them aren’t enough, their gums start bleeding frequently too.

If you know somebody that is pregnant, give ‘em an extra hug today.

I know I will, because my wife is carrying my son. 3.5 Months to go!
