TMQ copy

Tuesday Morning Quarterback (TMQ) will be an ongoing segment here at Life of Dad during the NFL season. Each week I will report who won the NFL T-shirt from Junk Food Clothing. This week’s winner is Mike from the Life of Dad West Conference.

His team, I’m A Man I’m Forte, had the highest point total in both conferences. He edged out Don from Life of Dad East by two points to be this week’s winner. I thought the Alan from the East was going to take the T-shirt. He played against me in the East this week. He had both Peyton Manning and Wes Welker and had an early lead (and big lead at that with 80 points) after the Thursday night game when Manning went completely insane by throwing 7 touchdown passes. FYI: Manning tied an NFL record with those 7 TD passes.

Yet Mike aka I’m A Man I’m Forte also had Peyton and a bunch of other guys that had a phenomenal week. His team of Manning, Larry Fitzgerald, Vernon Davis, and DeSean Jackson to name a few really paved the way for him to be the fantasy owner with the most points. Nice drafting and fantasy coaching Mike.

For those who picked up Manning or any of the Eagles high profile players you looked really smart in Week 1. Vikings All-Star running back Adrian Peterson proved why he was number one on the draft boards by starting off the game with a 78 yard touchdown scamper. The Saints offense looked great now that head coach Sean Payton was back on the sidelines.

C.J. Spiller, Marshawn Lynch and Trent Richardson got off to a disappointing start in Week 1. I wouldn’t go trading for them just yet. It is only Week 1 and to quote Axl Rose, “All we need is just a little patience.

Remember for those who are new to fantasy football, there is a game THIS THURSDAY! Actually there will be games on Thursdays for most of this season. So make sure your lineups are ready to go by Thursday afternoon.

So that will wrap up this week’s edition of TMQ. Again I say congrats to Mike aka I’m A Man I’m Forte for winning the Junk Food Clothing T-shirt for Week 1 of the Life of Dad Fantasy Football League. JunkFood_logo_new_w300
