Royal Republic
If you’re a rock fan in Sweden, Austria and Germany (like 78% of my readers), chances are you are more than familiar with Royal Republic. For the rest of us, though this super high energy rock/ power-pop group should be a welcome discovery. Though formed in Sweden, with a huge Germanic speaking following, the band records exclusively in English, and easily exceed some better known native language speakers’ lyricism. They’re currently planning 2019 tour dates and I’m really hoping they manage to get some US dates in so I can experience them live.
