It used to be all about me...

Bo is a good boy. Babs is a good girl. Bo is our Wheaten Terrier. Babs is our almost six month old baby.

When Babs was two months old, I wrote a column titled Babs Meet Bo. At the time, Babs and Bo could care less about each other. Well, things have changed quite a bit…

THEN – Babs would sleep through Bo’s barking
NOW – Babs blinks through Bo’s barking (with facial expressions!)

THEN – Bo ran away when Babs was crying
NOW – Bo finds us when Babs is crying, hoping to calm her

THEN – Bo and I took short walks so we could help baby mama
NOW – Bo and I take longer walks with Babs in tow

THEN – Bo drooled the second most in our household (Dad #1)
NOW – Bo drools the third most in our household (Babs #1, Dad #2)

THEN – Babs didn’t open her eyes too often
NOW – Babs’ eyes will follow Bo around the room, as she smiles

THEN – Bo would lick Babs’ feet, and his own paws
NOW – Babs tries to eat her own feet, and Bo licks his own paws

THEN – Bo would go lay in the closet every day
NOW – Bo will lay right next to Babs’ crib every time she is asleep

THEN – I was more comfortable picking up Bo’s poop then Babs’
NOW – Whatever needs to be done

THEN – Bo liked eating chicken (and hot dogs)
NOW – Bo loves eating chicken (and hot dogs)

Some things never change.
