Ever notice how your child (or in my case, little girl) runs to mommy every chance they get? It hurts and trust me, I know. I use to get so upset that she only wanted mom that I started to be kind of rude to my wife. It started to stress not only be out, but my wife now to. Which just causes tension all through the house. But over this holiday season I had time to actually sit back and try to analyze where the lost connection is between me and my child. I was able to see that even though she may be close with mom, she does actually still love me! You see, we just get so frustrated when you don’t feel the love after you try so hard. And most of us get so busy with work, and help maintaining the house that we over look the plain-site proof. Your child does love you! But they sense that stress, and that frustration that mommy is just always their go to person.. Moral of the story; Slow life down… we’re always in a rush to get nowhere. Whether it’s in traffic, work, around the house, or just life in general. When I slowed down and actually took a breath is when I realized, I was just over thinking, over frustrating, and just over living. If that’s a word. Lol. your family does love you, and they do appreciate your hard work and dedication. You’re just too busy to realize it.. Slow down, breath, and keep on being Daddy. Your child(ren), wife, or girlfriend do appreciate you and your hard work. And they’ll appreciate the slow down also.
