For 75 years Captain American has been saving the world, well at least in the world of comic books. Steve Rodgers was created by legendary artists and writers Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Captain America was created to be a patriotic “super soldier” and would fight the Nazis and other Axis powers during World War II.
Even though Captain America was not as popular after the war, he was still a fan favorite. Now with the recent Captain America films he is starting to climb the ranks of being the top super hero. Actor Chris Evans is doing a fantastic job of portraying Steve Rodgers, which is another reason that people are proud to be on Team Captain America. You see a lot more people wearing Cap t-shirts, kids playing with toys, and reading Cap’s comic books. There is even a crazy storyline in the Marvel universe where his is working for Hydra!!!! Can you imagine that?
Still it looks like that Rogers is not really working for Hydra, which is a good thing since we comic book fans couldn’t handle that.
People like Captain America because we all want to be like him. He is caring, courageous, and selfless. He has a lot of traits that dads would like to emulate. To go with that here are a few quotes from Captain America himself either from comic books or films that a dad could be saying to his kid.
