Did you and your family see Ninjago yet? My family and I went to see the movie over the weekend. Just like the other LEGO films we really enjoyed this one! There is humor, heart, and action. It is done in a very family friendly way. Now you and your family can enjoy the fun and a excitement from the Ninjago film to your own home with the video game. The LEGO Ninjago Movie video game is now available for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
Just like the film the video game the action is there and if you have ever played a LEGO video game you will know what you are getting into. There are some new features in this game that you haven’t seen yet. My kids and I were excited with these new features as well as gameplay that we all have been accustomed to.
LEGO Ninjago is group of kids that is centered around a character named Lloyd (the green ninja) who isn’t that popular since he is the son of the evil warlord Garmadon. Under the tutelage of Master Wu, Lloyd and five other ninja warriors are the last line of defense against Garmadon and his invading shark army.
The game goes to many places in the Ninjago universe. There are levels in city streets and jungles. During the game each player advances in their skills as a ninja. The game follows the movie, but there are a lot of extra levels and parts in this game that lets you take on more action from those awesome Ninjago ninjas. As the game goes on each player gets some new powers and abilities. My kids wanted to play until they made all of the ninjas all powered up in each of their levels. There is the Wall of Ninjanuity that follows the strength of each of the ninjas’ arts. The more you play the stronger your ninja becomes which makes playing the game easier.
Just like in the movie you can make the characters do some cool moves like double-jump slams and spinning air assaults. Not only did my kids go, “WOW!” I think i enjoyed them when I saw that happen for the first time in the game. LEGO and Warner Bros Entertainment stepped up their game with all of these advancements.
I like the fact that my kids can play at the same time in story mode since missions in the game are two player friendly. I can even jump in as four players can fight in battle arenas. That mode is really fun!
Even when you finish the game’s story you can still want to play the game in the open world envoirnment. That is why I don’t mind picking up a LEGO game since my kids still want to play the game once the solve the entire game. There is always something new to explore and see in that game. LEGO Ninjago follows suit. Just wait to you see the expression on your kid’s face and the ninja start climbing walls. They will be amazed!
Whether or not you see the movie, the LEGO Ninjago video game is a sure family hit in your house. You will find yourself asking your kids to play along with them.
