Finding Netflix gems to add to your queue.
Blue Ruin is right near the top of my list of movies that made me wonderfully physically uncomfortable. It was 90 minutes of pure anxiety and inner dread and it’s fantastic. It’s almost best to start watching this movie knowing as little as you can about it. The story unfolds slowly and the tension builds with each passing minute.
Without revealing too much, I’ll say that it is a revenge story (as you can probably guess from the picture above). It follows Dwight Evans as he tries to right a wrong done to his family, and finds himself in deeper than he expected to go. The movie has sparse dialogue and is mostly driven by Dwight’s actions as he tries to figure out his next moves. The suspense in this movie will have you on edge throughout the majority of it as you watch Dwight’s decisions unfold. Seriously do not miss this one.
