I just had “The Talk” this weekend with my oldest son Jed. This was something my father had managed to avoid with me, so I didn’t know what to expect, and as you can imagine, I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing.

Admittedly, I’d been thinking about having this discussion for a while, and like most fathers, I had done quite a bit of research on the subject, plus I had my own personal experiences dating back to grade school.

The whole process was very matter-of-fact, and as expected, he asked lots of questions. We looked at lot of magazines, and videos, and discussed various techniques, and I gave him some personal perspective. And you know the kid totally got it. I’m very proud that he has decided to go the more traditional route and wear his baseball socks high. He’s a great a kid.
