Star Wars Forces of Destiny is a new animated series celebrating some of Star Wars’ most beloved and inspirational characters. The series started earlier this year in July. You can check out some of the episodes now on the YouTube.com/Disney channel. This series are usually about three minute videos.

The series will focus on the adventure of Rey, Jyn Erso, Princess Leia, Sabine Wren, Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka Tano, and other Star Wars heroes. If you have seen other shows from Star Wars then you will be happy to hear that actors who voiced for past Star Wars shows came back for this series too. So you will hear Daisy Ridley (Rey), Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso), Tiya Sircar (Sabine Wren), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), and Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata, who narrates the series).

To go along with these fantastic videos that my family and I love to watch together Disney and Lucasfilm have worked with Hasbro to produce a line of toys inspired by the Star Wars Forces of Destiny animated content, which launched at mass retailers around the world and HasbroToyShop.com earlier this month.

When my kids saw these figures pop up in our local store they were very excited. I loved the fact that Star Wars and Hasbro are putting the spotlight on the strong female heroes form the Star Wars universe. Whether you are doing early Christmas shopping or getting your kids birthday gifts these figures will be selling out fast. There are a few books and lightsabers and even Ray’s staff that your kids can use to create their own Forces of Destiny stories.
