After an amazing three weeks of deliciousness, our #TurkeyMadness competition has come to an end. For some, it ended in magnificent glory of a win. For others it…… is still a win! Not only did the participants get to showcase their fantastic culinary skills, but non-participants now have a slew of new recipes to try and inspiration to draw from. Inspiration, that will undoubtedly lead to new turkey masterpieces erupting out of kitchens everywhere.

Week one was all about the app. Appetizers using turkey as the main component flew in as people submitted mind bogglingly delicious recipes that would have elevated any pre-game snacking  to  nothing short of a culinary avalanche of awesomeness. Our winner for week one was able to not only craft a scrumptious appetizer using Shady Brook Farms turkey, but managed to capture the presentation in a way that would make Alan De Herrara jealous. You know….. Alan, the famous food photographer….. No?? Nevermind, it looked fantastic.

Week two, we hit the grills. No, not the grills your dim-bulb cousin wears to look more street. Our beloved backyard fire-pits, smokers and stoves. BBQ turkey could have been fairly straightforward, but our entrants really stepped up the game when it came to creativity and presentation. Our winner for the week was Joshua Ives’ Bracket-Busting Chinese Five-Spice BBQ Turkey Lettuce Wraps with Sriracha Mayo and Spicy Slaw. His recipe was as delicious as his title was lengthy and he walked away with a win for his stupendousness.

Turkey Madness Entry

And finally, our contest ended with some nice soup. As anything should end. “You’re done building that house? Have some soup.” — “You finished watching Game of Thrones in one sitting? Here, have some soup.” —— “How was your colonoscopy? You should have some soup.” Doesn’t that sound like heaven?? Well the soup entrants certainly were heavenly. But only one winner walked with the prize for the week. That was Thomas’ Creamy Turkey Taco-Night Soup. Is there anything a taco can’t do?? Probably advanced calculus.
